I agree with you both.
It's kinda funny...our history teacher loves to read out of the newspaper to kick class off, and he was reading about the stimulus. Now, keep in mind here that I'm the one of two conservatives in the entire class of 25. The other one, my friend Megan, doesn't know as much about politics as I do, but she by no means is ignorant of the world's happenings. All during the election, I would argue with him, since he's a liberal guy. The rest of the class goes along with everything he says, and I swear I'm the only one who thinks for myself. So the first half of class (a good 25 minutes) was generally me arguing with the rest of the class. So anyway, today I raised my hand and started talking about all the porkbarrel spending in the bill, and how it'll never work. One kid who absolutely loves Obama but knows nothing about politics starts yelling "Well, I don't see you doing anything about it, so why don't you just shut up?" Then Megan opens up her mouth (she can be really loud) and screams at him "SHE'S SIXTEEN, WHAT'S SHE SUPPOSED TO DO?!?" It was classic. After that, they stopped screaming at me and let me get a point across.
